As far as "slow" chapters go, this one is phenomenal. I am quickly warming up to your fantastic taste in writing. You have good taste in reading and have used that, it seems, to sharpen your own skills into a really gripping story. I couldn't put this one down now if my chair caught fire. Thank you.

I keep meaning to do that for some of my favorite stories, but any time I reread them I'm too anxious to get to the next chapter to stop and review! You're absolutely right, whenever I feel like my writing is starting to suck I go back and read some of my favorite authors to try to step up my game. I know I'm still leagues below them in terms of emotional resonance, but I'm trying!

Cool, you updated! I really liked Logan's thoughts/reactions to Marie. I like how Marie is connecting with him and not trying to distance herself from him and the memories his captivity brings back. Can't wait for the chapter!

Marie's little breakdown @ calling Logan a puppy was really sweet. And I love the way she startles at his constant sneaking up on her! You've really captured the tone well here.
