oh i'd be pissed at them for going through my shit if i were rogue. wonder how long wolvie takes before he realizes he really likes rogue? great update, really hope you write more soon! love the hamlet quote too!

Author's Response: Remember when it said "long and mixed up" in the summary. No lies. But I'm sure she'll grow on him eventually. I always liked the idea of love at first sight, but I feel that this Rogue is a little too messed up for that to happen to her. Thanks for reviewing!

This was highly entertaining. Cant wait for more chapters!

Author's Response: They're coming! Maybe one tonight still... Who needs sleep?

That's it?? :( That's only half an update! Sigh. I'm still hungry for more from you ... that wasn't nearly enough to satisfy! ;) ...but, it was a fun little romp nonetheless. Not quite what I expected from Marie, though, or from her first meeting w/the X-geeks. She actually seemed more *normal* than I'd anticipated!

You must be a bit of an obsessive Shakespeare fan, yourself, to have all these quotes on the tip of Marie's tongue at the appropriate times. I must admit I can sympathize; there was a time when I had nearly all of Hamlet & parts of King Lear memorized!

btw, "query" is a question; "quarry" is the one that can refer to an object difficult to obtain. So, that line from Marie should've been "she spotted her QUARRY." just FYI ;)

Author's Response: Thanks! I'll fix that now actually. I don't have a beta as of currently so any checking of grammar and spelling is done by me and you can only reread something so many times before your brain just sees what it wants to see. I am fairly obsessed with Shakespeare (theatre major) but not to the point where these are all rolling off the top of my head. I have to do some research to make sure quotes are right. On the upside, Google is my friend. rnrnAnd Marie is a pretty good at seeming normal isn't she? Maybe her "coping mechanisms" actually work somewhat?

Yay! I love your crazy/resourceful Marie!

Author's Response: I'm starting to like her a whole lot too. I could never stand the Marie of the movies because she just stood around helpless all the time waiting for someone else to come save her. Totally not the Rogue of the comics or the cartoons or of my brain for that matter. Anyway, thanks for reviewing! I know it's hard sometimes to take the time when you're writing your own stories and I appreciate it. Kiss Kiss.

I like the Shakespeare reference

Author's Response: Thanks! I've always been a big fan of Shakespeare (something my mother doesn't understand at all). Thanks for reading!

i freaking love this story. so excited to read more, especially logan/rogue interaction. did shakespear ever quote anything with 'rogue' in it? that'd be a cool way of explaining how she picked her name. anyhoo, write more soon please!

Author's Response: I guess we'll have to see won't we? ;)

I loved Marie's Big Plan! She thought of everything, didn't she?? ...but I can hardly believe the girl's TWENTY! Wow... four years of solitary confinement; no wonder the girl's off her rocker!

I'm sure you'll make the Big Meeting b/w Rogue & Jubes, Wolvie & Co. sufficiently interesting. You have talent!

I am in love with your amazing attention to detail, especially in this last chapter.

I cant wait to see how you get these two together :D

Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing. I sometimes struggle with how much to describe and how much to leave out. Good to know I found a decent middle ground.

OK, i have to say I LOVE this Rogue and her quirky point of views. I can't wait to see what happens when the X-Men and this slightly cuckoo-Rogue interact. Please update soon.

Kudos on the Shakespeare quote. I knew that sounded rather Bard-ish, but couldn't recall him ever waxing eloquent about 'freaks' per se.

Great first chapter. I love your Logan and Marie 'voices'. She's not just plain crazy, she's crazy like a fox -- always looking forward, preparing herself both mentally and physically for the day when her parents would make their last mistake.

I look forward to finding out just how and where Marie and Logan cross paths. --Wendie

Author's Response: I've come to find that I enjoy her craziness as well. She is awesome at planning which I think is a direct result of her not being quite right.rnrnGood to know their voices are sounding different. I've been working to make sure that it's possible to tell who is who when you're reading without being told directly. Thanks for reviewing! Let me know if you find anything odd anywhere please. I love to hear your input.

Oh God! This just screams "Logan in shining armor"!! And Marry, Marry Christmas!!!!

Author's Response: Don't get too attached to that shining armor. Rogue is into being her own knight right now... He might have to polish it up eventually though. Happy New Year to you!

Very cool! You should thank your muse for sending you such an awesome plot bunny ;)

I look forward to updates!

Author's Response: I do tend to like my muse, but sometimes he has a tendency to chuck rabid ones my way and then I don't know what to do exactly. Luckily, this one wasn't so bad. I'm glad you like the idea!

Very nice beggining. Im intrigued. I also dig Logan having a close relationship with Kitty and Jubes. Please update soon.

Author's Response: Thanks! Though I have to throw a shout out to hobbitsdoitbetter for the idea of Kitty and Jubes getting on with Logan well.
