The Wolverine & Rogue Fanfiction Archive
Barely Legal Since 2000
Wow, if you read this chapter while listening to Adele's Someone Like You, it makes it even more emotional. ::sniffle::
...Always looking over my shoulder, always being alone...”
“Hey,” he interrupted. “You’re not alone.”
“No?”
“No.” He kissed the top of her head. “Not anymore.”
Awwwwwwwwww.
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked that! I thought it was pretty close to being too corny, but I couldn't help myself. Logan being sweet and sensitive (even in his gruff way) is just impossible to resist. ;-)
OK Im on chapter 6 but needed to tell you im loving this story so far. Youre incredibly talented. Im impressed how your AU story makes total sense, thats something hard to find in the fanfiction world: a real plot! Im also loving how marie/logan relationship is developing.
Author's Response: Thanks so much for reviewing! I'm glad the AU world makes sense...especially since I made up a lot of the plot as I went along. :-D
I love this! More please!
Author's Response: Thanks so much for your review! More coming up. :-)
Can't wait for more!!! He is going to have a damn tough job gaining her trust once she finds out. Especially if Professor tries to "give her a speech". She is going to feel used again. Can't wait!!
Author's Response: Yup. :-D
Thanks for the quick updates!
So.. Hold on a sec.. Did I misunderstand anything or did you make Bobby gay?? He was hot for Pyro??
I'm a little confused. But I loved the Bobby meeting Marie accidentally. I wonder how Logan's gonna make things right when Marie realizes Logan's just like Bobby!
Author's Response: Yep, Bobby and Pyro, sittin' in a tree. K-I-S-S-I-N-G. I'll totally blame the fanfic world for that, I never really thought that about them from the movies but I've read so many fics where it was the case that I just assume now. ;-) Plus, I like having an explanation for why Pyro is so sullen. He's just hiding his wounded feelings, poor little firebug.
Awwww. Sweet. I'm enjoying the alternaverse you've got going one - Bobby goes Brotherhood, Pyro stays behind etc. Be interesting to see how that plays out in future.
Author's Response: I'm glad you're liking it! Yes, Pyro always struck me as the more interesting of the two, so I figured I'd keep him around. ;-) And I like the idea of a Marie-Bobby dynamic having played itself out but in an alternate way.
He is in sooooooooo much trouble! Marie is going to be one pissed of lady when she finds out what Logan was sent to do. Love love the story, great job!
Author's Response: I'm so glad you're liking it! Hope I haven't made you late to work again. ;-) Thanks so much for reviewing!
Sorry, I accidentally hit the submit button (damn smart phone). Anyway, I really love how their relationship is going--trusting each other with their nightmares/memories. And Logan telling her that she is no longer alone was fantastic. I also liked how you didn't use the usual Logan-wakes-from-his-nightmare-and-stabs-Rogue scenario. Instead you gave it a nice little twist. Nicely done!
Author's Response: Yeah, I think that's the value of an older, somewhat wiser Marie. She knows to stay the hell back when someone wakes up clawing. ;-) I'm glad that you are liking the development of their relationship so far. THanks so much for reviewing!
Can I just say that your fast updates totally rock?! I really enjoyed this. Good backstory with Bobby and Eric. Logan's going to have a really hard time getting her trust back when she finds out that she was set up again in virtually the same way as before.
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad you like the backstory. And enjoy the fast updates while you can, I seem to be hitting a bit of a block after chapter 8. :-D Yes, it is a hard road ahead for these two.
That twist about Bobby not saving himself to save her? BRILLIANT. So, so sad! The guilt poor Marie has, its painful to read. Logan is sweet, very giving, I almost want you to be gentle when she finds out he's mislead her. Almost. ;) Great story so far!
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked the thing with Bobby. Yeah, I'm surprised how much I'm feeling for both Logan and Marie in this fic. Especially in the next chapter...they're just in such a difficult situation. :-/ I'm so mean to my poor characters! Lucky thing I always give them a happy ending, or I'd have some bad karma headed my way. :-D
Oh, Bobby. That's so sad. :(
Your Magneto seems to me more evil than the one in the movies. Movie-Magneto believes in mutant supremacy, yes, and he's done some very bad things, but he's never seemed like a sadist to me, just someone who believes in victory at any cost. But for this story it works.
The tension you're building keeps ratcheting up. It's really going to hurt.
Author's Response: Yeah, it was a little more diabolical. But it never did make sense to me that Magneto was just willing to take it on faith that he could give Rogue exactly enough power to use her but not enough to permanently harm himself. I mean she almost took Logan out in a few seconds, and she put her boyfriend in a coma for three weeks, and yet Magneto is up and bouncing around minutes later. It makes more sense to me that he would try to get a feel for how long her mutation takes to suck someone dry. And if he is willing to sacrifice one innocent young person, it's probably not that different to sacrifice two, especially if the second is a "traitor".
When is this shoe gonna drop? I'm excited and scared for the inevitable...
Author's Response: Next chapter. :-)
