Wow, when I first saw the word count I was a little disappointed that it was going to be a short chapter, but you were right about it packing a punch! Very intriguing...I suspected Wolverine was on the loose, but there's definitely a lot of questions left to be answered. Like the previous reviewers said, the little details -- the way his weight dents the ground, the touching of his forehead to hers, makes this so potent. It's nice to see that Wolverine, although ruthless in his own way, is still connected to Marie -- not just out to screw any sweet young thing. And that she recognizes that connection, and craves it. Can't wait for more!

I'm suspecting Wolverine is pretty much an antidote to anything :) You've captured his rawness perfectly and I'm finding his possessiveness (v Logan) quite intriguing."Say my name". "Good enough". Good enough that she wants them both? Suggesting that he would REALLY prefer it if it was only the Wolverine she wanted, and not Logan? If this is not the end, would love to see that little showdown teased out ... and you get an A+ from me for this word picture alone: e dropped to his knees, creating deep hollows in the earth from his weight. I can't manage to type the sounds that I'm making right now, but they sound something like "Hfffmpp ... mmrrrrm ppphhh." Yeah, that chapter was amazing.
The part of me that loves to see Logan, protective, gruff but caring, Logan, is a bit worried about what may have happened in Canada to make Wolverine take control. And then it gets beaten, shoved in a sack and tossed in the river by the part of me that loves to see the feral come out to play. That rough and gruff man-beast, lordy-lordy, you capture him so well. Is it wrong to hope that it takes a couple of chapters to get him fixed up and back to a more in control Logan, just so that Wolvie can be allowed to play some more? My brain says yes, but my libido says no...

I love how graphically honest Wolverine is in this -- so is Marie, for that matter -- but that one touch is shockingly powerful because of the unexpected tenderness behind it. Oh Lordy-lord, this is incredible. I must say, I do love a possessive and feral Logan, but the fact that Wolverine seems to be in the driver's seat has me wondering if Logan found out about his past and retreated into the background a little in order to process all the emotional repercussions of his past.

I am quite enthralled with all the possibilities but mostly the reactions of the rest of the Team and how Wolverine/Logan are going to react in conjunction with Marie's reactions to this whole thing.
