I'm really enjoying this completely unique take on things. I like everything from the variated names to the twin version on Jean and the Phoenix. I like that Wolverine is a werewolf, as far as I can figure, and all the rest. Just so much fun to read.

Great update! I loved the interaction between Logan and Stray here especially with Logan being so affectionate and protective after being a bit gruff(methinks the man doth protest too much ;D)in the previous chapter.
“She insulted one who’s my own, one who did her no harm.”
He shot Stray a sharp, feral grin. “I had more than enough pleasant company last night; I had no need of another’s.”
“If you left, girl,” he said quietly, “I would go with you."
"And then I will leave, Stray. With you. For you.”
And Logan calling her cariad? Well that's just the icing on the cake. (Swoon)
Nice twist with the appearance of Emma at the end too, which was unexpected. Can't wait to see how she factors into the mix.
Author's Response: hey hun, great to hear from you. glad you enjoyed the chapter, wanted to move Logan away from being quite so rough and growly as he was in the previous installment so it's nice to hear i succeeded. (you're right, methinks he doth protest too much, something which will be addressed in a couple of chapter's time). glad you like the appearance of Emma as well, she's going to be important and you know Emma: she likes to make an entrance. thanks for the review and hobbits away, hey!

So I had great fun with the vocabulary you chose for this chapter. I had to look up both cariad and termagant. I think cariad is my new favorite term of affection. I really enjoyed the tempo of this chapter. Logan and Stray's relationship progresses before our eyes and Logan does it out of instinct. I love playing "spot the X-men". I am assuming Gold is Phoenix being Red's twin and all. The entrance of Emma completely turns the story on its ear. I am looking forward to the next chapter.

(i like "termagant but i have to say, my personal favorite was "plague-bitch." love the word "cariad," as well BTW so i'm happy to have introduced you to it.)thanks for the review: i'm used to writing a more worldly, tough chick Marie so i keep having to remind myself that Stray is quite young and innocent in this, and it's good to hear that her relationship with Logan is progressing well in spite of that. cheers, hobbits away, hey!
