You had me checking this site first thing in the morning to see if the next chapter was up yet, and I swear I did a little happy dance when it popped up.
This chapter was also great. Mystique is one stone-cold b*tch, huh? I like the idea of Marie absorbing the consciousness of animals, and what that might do to her. I have also been struck by the symmetry of how Marie-with-invulnerable-skin is immune to most medical interventions, leaving Logan's healing factor one of her few options. I can't wait to see how it plays out!
Author's Response: Ah, thanks so much. It may become apparent that Mystique isn't *quite* as heartless as she seems, but yeah. Stone-cold b*tch pretty much sums it up.
