Now this was a truly fabulous read, I love your Rogue - strong and sassy, and Logan was so amazing! I like em dark and snarky :-) many stories here have helped a bit with X3 letdown. I did't like many aspects of X2 mostly how they separated Logan and Rogue, and made him into pansy that pines over Jean. Rogan connection in X1 was so amazing - and they could have been such a compelling couple (age difference, Logan's past and wanderlust, Rogue's mutation... - you have explored some of this so wonderfully here! Yet they opted for old-fashioned love triangle J/S/L? Anyhoo, I love your characterisations and their interactions. I liked your Jean immensely, especially after Phoenix was destroyed - poor woman having to succumb to that. Hank and Jubes were soooo lovable!!! All in all, great job!

I'm going through another authors faves list and your story was a definite find! I really enjoy reading stories where Rogue is showcased as a strong woman and on equal footing with Logan and the rest of the XMen. You did a great job!

No. Belize. That place evokes a visceral response. The last time I was there was sifting through Mayan ruins, getting pestered by monkeys, and ate up by bugs the size o' your fuckin' hand. But I'll try not to let my own bad memories of it screw up my enjoyment of the story LOL. *scrolls back up to finish reading*

Awwwwww. Yay. That was a perfect way to resolve everything. You really brought out their bond to each other, and I loved the playful banter at the end. "Yeah, yeah. You and what army." Ha! Right. Hummm. I'm almost sad to see it end. Oh well, there's still the epilogue at least.

Loved the interaction there. I have a soft spot for your Jean. She's such a sweetheart. I hope Scott sees the light and chooses her. You've got me shipping those two as much as Rogan :P.

Oh. Hm. Firecracker and Blue, huh? I can't decide whether to be weirded out or intrigued. Intrigued is winning so far. This story's just getting better and better. Sad to think it's winding down. I dunno how you're gonna resolve all this in two more chapters 0_0;;.
Author's Response: Yeah, I never was one to put Jean on a cross and completely villify her - although I don't mind the Jean is a bitch storylines too much. :p I read one fanfic with Jubilee and Hank as an item and it was so fabulous so I thought I'd hint at one here. I did wind it down although I debated just keeping it going but I didn't want to get bored and have the readers say, 'oh just end it already!'. ;)

Awww! Gah, so many great moments in this chapter. Loved the conversation with Jubilee. I don't usually like fan fic Jubes, but you did her justice :).
The very thought of Hank, Logan, and Rogue high on nitrous oxide had me giggling.
Gosh dangit woman! You finally had me smiling through a chapter, and you go and end it with another damned cliffhanger. Hmpf. Oh well. It's worth it. I'm still lovin' this story :P.

WOE. I got like, two sentences into this chapter last night when a drunk-ass stupid friend called me to give her a ride 'cause she didn't have the sense to save cab fare. Uh lame. Aaaannnyyywayyy....
Okay. So reading this was kinda traumatic, heh. Not really in a bad way, I just mean you portrayed everything so vividly, it really drew me in. Definitely feeling Logan's pain :(.
And then that cliffhanger at the end! Gah--wha--she's got amnesia or somethin'?! Oh gosh, okay, I gotta go read the *next* chapter now. Thanks a lot, you evil author, ruining what was supposed to be a productive half-hour :P

I loved this chapter. Hard to believe this story hasn't gotten more reviews. The pacing is great. There's never been a dull moment. I'm really intrigued to see what happens with Jean now. Hopefully Rogue doesn't have to kill her to stop her =/. Eep! Now I gotta go read and find out. Oh, btw, "All he wanted right now was a shower and Marie. And not necessarily in that order." Loved that line.

When I read your author's note my stomach sank. I knew the end was coming but still...
Bravo for a wonderful story, what a ride, and in such a short time! Your Rogue and Logan are perfect - their dialogue one of the best representations that I've read in fanfiction. I loved how Logan held her. Just. So. Sweet. And real. Very, very real.
Eagerly awaiting your epilogue! :)

I hope she gets some measure of control over the Phoenix. Uh preferably without maiming Rogue in the process. I'm on the edge of my seat--but alas, work to do. I love how you managed to keep Rogue's personality intact depite the mindwipe - establishing her relationships with the rest of the X-Men the same as they were before this new "incident." Great conflict with Scott by the way - not too blatant, very real with his reaction to Jean and I like the burgeoning relationship with Hank and Jubes. But seriously, you're killing me:
With those soft words, Logan's entire world ripped away
Poor guy. But yay us for you continuing this story. :)

Aw. And in the span of 3000 words you take me from schadenfreude to genuine sympathy. Poor Jean =/. I do like how dynamic the characters are in this--Jean, Scott, Rogue, Logan--all of them changing and trying to cope with that change. Good stuff. Your dialogue is great too, easy to read and I can really hear their voices come through. Can't wait to read more soon :)

"I thought I recognized those surly brainwaves." Hee! I liked the interaction between Logan and Jean. I just never tire of seeing her make a total bitch out of herself *sighs happily*. The scene between Scott and Rogue was interesting too. The only thing that could've made it better was jealous!Logan storming in and claiming Rogue for his own in a whirl of muscles, piercing hazel eyes, and yummy growly sounds. Alas, I will be patient. *runs off to read the next chapter*

Eek.
Lots of stuff happening here - heartbreak for Logan, for Rogue, even for Scott. The mark is gone? Great spin, now Logan needs to prove himself to Rogue which is always fun. At least the attraction remains - maybe he needs to be a little aggressive to get her to accept their past before someone like Scott can jump in and cause a blockage.
As usual, you have me in stitches over Jubilee, AND Hank (nice twinkie touch by the way, LOL)!
And then, you finish off with those horrific, spectacular cliff hangers of yours...evil girl! Keep it up! :)
