I really loved the story. I didn't think I would get into the Marie-assassin bit but you got it down to perfection. I enjoyed your Victor immensely - I like him better this way - he is more complex than the usual depiction of him as sadistic beast. I wished there was perhaps one more chapter in the middle solidifying Rogan relationship but still it was reallx well done. Especially the part in the Bar (jack was a stroke of genius) and in Logan's cabin. That conversation was wonderful. Great job, all in all!

I can't help but wonder what the true consequences of Marie killing Eric with her mutation are going to be, I hope she doesn't actually end up doing it. I think Victor may be right, Marie will always feel guilty for what she is about to do to the person who at one time saved her regardless of what he has tried to do to her now.

I am completely freaked that Marie killed Emma, not that Emma didn't need killin' but then again I forget sometimes this is assian!Marie so it is probably second nature to her. And Victor - way to go there big guy, you finally figured out you are only as much of an animal as you choose to be.
I would lay money the 'thing' Erik was taking care of was a very pissed off Wolverine.

Wow! Love the new update. Who knew that Victor could do the right thing. I wonder how he's going to take it that Marie is with Logan? ;) Can't wait to find out what happens next. I'm glad that Logan's friends are there to help him save Marie. Keep up the great work.
Author's Response: Thank you! I like to put some soft edges around Victor. Of course, it's fun to write him as a complete psycopath too, but it's good to have a change of pace.

YES!! I LOVE it! I adore your version of Victor. It almost makes me want a Rogue/Victor pairing. Almost. LOL I am still on team Logan. Marie killing Emma was perfect! Can't wait to see what she does with Erik.

So glad you decided to continue with this. I think this was the best chapter yet. Feels like Marie really grew as a character, and I am still loving your characterization of Victor.
As for Jean, we shall see *eyebrow raise*. But I'm glad Logan's brought in some help. Here's hoping he gets his chance to kick some ass =D

Hooray! Rescue is on its way. I always like when Logan and Remy are friends, for some reason. And interesting to see Victor's reaction, I wonder which side he's going to come down on in the end. Keep writing...as long as it's still fun for you!

I do love Logan and Remy as buddies - I've always had a soft spot for the Cajun (I've got a Jubilee/Remy piece at ff.net). I've got lots of ideas now, I only need to get them crafted the right way. ooh, that dream scene certainly harbours portents of doom. Nice balance between the angst, the smut and the action here ... cranking up to the tension all the way to that lovely little cliffhanger.

Aw, man! No. Marie gone is bad. They need to keep on, um, solidifying their connection ;). I'm curious to see how Victor will respond to Erik's plans for Marie, if he's gonna be a willing participant or he wants her all to himself or what. Also, the green guy?! I can't decide if it's Toad or Leech. Hmmm.
Looking forward to Logan's rampage, and possibly an epic showdown between him and Victor (huh? yeah? mebbe?) More soon! Glad you're continuing this; I dunno what the deal is with people not reviewing, 'cause I think your stories are a pleasure to read =D.

First, sorry about no review after your last chatper I really thought I had. I am really enjoying this story. It is a perspective that is fresh and watching their relationship develop is going to be interesting. I just hope the sex wasn't tooo soon.
As for Marie being taken, a) dumb dumb girl for going out by herself and b) does Logan realize that it is probably a trap to get him to bring Jean and Carol out of hiding?

Whoa, I can't believe this chapter hasn't gotten any reviews! Huh. Well, anyway, I was excited to get a chance to catch up on this story, and I definitely like where it's going. The idea of Erik trying to craft Rogue into his 'perfect weapon' by having her absorb key people is totally cool. Can't wait to see what happens next with Victor--and how Logan reacts to it!

Line of the day. I like your Victor! He's still reckless and overly emotional, but not as plain stupid/barely verbal as most people characterize him to be.
I love the dark humor when Marie tells Logan that she's stuck with his "fucking nobility and hero complex."
I'm so glad to finally have a little time to read this! It was definitely worth it. The interplay between Logan and Marie is great. Curious to see what the heck happened when she touched him. So she like, has his powers permanently now? And what the heck is Magneto planning?! Update soon! Pwease?
Author's Response: Thank you! For me, Victor is a fun character to write. I've always seen him as just the anti-Logan; still smart but completely sociopathic and unpredictable. rnrnI'm glad you like the interplay. I want to keep them true to Logan and Marie but just in a different setting. I'll try to update soon, I just started a new job and it's cramping my writing time! Stupid employment!

A great story, I always enjoy the stories with a darker Rogue. What makes it better are the few rare stories in which she is featured as a assasin. I always find those to be the best. Along with those that take place in the Middle ages, of course.
I'm so glad to have found another story to follow, and I encourage you to continue to update at such a pace. You are doing a fantastic job, and I'm excited for the next chapter.

Oh I love this chapter, I like how it played out. I can't wait until Marie and Logan figure out why Erik wants Jean and Carol and Marie needed to absorb Logan - it is the ultimate weapon, the ultimate mutant - she would be unstoppable. :)
