This Marie is very strong. I'm glad. She kicks ass. Even when she's crying.

Aww. That was my favorite line, for sure. Such a touching moment. You can just feel how much he wants to go hug her or something right then, and the restraint it takes not to. I'm liking the tension you're building between them. Not sure how to explain it, but it seems they've got a little bit different dynamic from the rest of your stories. Very cool.

I'm looking forward to seeing what information Marie gleans, and how they rescue Kitty and Jubilee. This promises to be a great adventure.

I can't wait to see what kind of trouble they get into (and hopefully out of).

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked that moment. I actually took it out and put it back in a few times, not sure if it was a little too much at that time. I agree, this is a pretty different dynamic between Logan and Marie, I'm glad you're liking it. I still feel like I'm trying to find the footing. Hope the rest of it lives up to your expectations!

You always come up with some new and fabulous way of telling me what I already know and making it seem fresh. I knew all that about Marie's mutation, but when she was telling Logan for the first time, it was like I was learning the truth right along with him.

Author's Response: Aw, that's so sweet! I always think that Marie explaining her mutation is always the hardest part of the story, because the reader knows it all but it takes a lot of explaining for her to tell it to Logan. Logan's is so much easier, he just pops the claws, says "I heal, darlin'," and then growls a bit and you're done. ;-)

i hope wolvie realizes exactly how hard this is gonna be on her. channeling a couple of sociopaths so she feels what they felt, that's asking a lot of person. great update!!!

Author's Response: Yeah, but that's why Wolvie is being such a sweetheart here...he doesn't ask. He leaves it up to her. It won't be easy, but she's a tough chick. :-D

i like where this is going... gotta say i'm enjoying how different this is and your characterization of both rogue and wolvie... i always enjoy it when rogue's written strong and put together like this, rather than as a basket-case who needs to be rescued. i think the set-up and the story is nicely "real world," too and look forward to reading the rest. hobbits away, hey!

Yup, he's the big, bad Wolverine, but he has such a caring and honorable side that rarely is shown. I mean, going through all this gritty stuff, he's not the one to deal with emotional distress, but he and Marie already have an inexplicable connection.

I know Marie is gonna have to deal with some serious issues when she lets those scary motherfuckers out. I'm hoping Logan will keep her anchored and Jubes & Kitty will be found.
