Damn you, woman! I said no more capturing people! Just hope they get out soon. That's enough torture for one story. Not that I'm mad or anything. You're just torturing me with this story. See? I used torture in multiple ways. Aren't I witty?

Author's Response: Ha...got to have just a little more capture...just a little, pretty please? Thanks for the review!

Just wanted to add that I didn't have any trouble understanding the chapter, though I did have to go back and reread carefully. Jubes mentioned the tracker in Kitty's collar, and Forge talked about how he never thought about Clara until he was writing out child support checks. The chapter was fine, it just wasn't in-your-face obvious, that's all.

Author's Response: Thanks for the reassurance! At first I had a bit more about the tracker, with Hank in the room and Logan turning to Hank and being all, "WTF!" and Hank talking about how the technology was all so cutting-edge it could have had a tracker without him knowing, and that the labs in the basement would have shielded the signal, etc., but it just seemed needlessly blabby. As for Forge, he is the one person the bad guys would NOT want to use the collar on (his mutation is exactly why they want him) so I wanted a little extra motivation for him to comply above and beyond just saving his skin -- hence, Clara. Anyway, thanks for reviewing!

SHOO!!! Good chapter, though. I'm not confused. ;-) Good luck for exams!!!

Author's Response: ::runs away, tail between her legs:: Thanks for the good luck!

Now, how in the hell did she get caught again so soon? lol

Author's Response: :-D Argh, I promise I'm not trying to be mysterious. The collars have trackers in them...no one at the mansion knew, but Kitty and Jubilee found out while they were captured. That's why when Jubilee mentioned the tracker in the collar, Logan zoomed out of the room so fast he practically created a sonic boom. ;-) Sorry, there seem to be certain things in this story that I find obvious that are apparently very well-hidden!

I don't think chapter sucks. First really really like the scene between Jubes, Kitty and Logan.

The entire second half of the chapter leaves me with lots of lots of questions.

Did Rogue know Forge was in captivity? Who is he to Rogue? Who is she to Clara? Did she take the collar on purpose? Did she want to get caught? It sure seemed like she did. Why has it taken three weeks for the Xmen or Magneto to find the lab? Do they not know the frequency of the collar that they are looking for?

Glad to hear you are studying and that your house is clean. Good luck.

Author's Response: Hi Alesia! I'm sure you didn't expect me to just answer your questions, but I'm not sure how much will be answered in future chapters so I'll give it my best shot. Rogue now knows what Magneto knows, which is that the Weapon X folks have Forge, and he wants him. That's why he got involved with investigating the black marketeers -- to try to trace them to Forge. She was just running, trying to keep Magneto's destructive attention away from the mansion and Logan, who she knows is helpless against him. None of them knew that the collar had a tracker, and knowing doesn't really help unless, as you said, they know the frequency and get within 15 miles. Plus, the collar she has now is probably a different one, with the shock capability and all that. They've had Forge all this time to make them what they want. Clara is Forge's daughter, who they are using as leverage. Is there a reason you thought that Clara meant something to Rogue? I think she just understood that he couldn't allow his child to be hurt. Urgh, this chapter definitely was not good if it needs so much explaining!

interesting. She is counting on Eric to find them. Very interesting. How did she get captured again? did she go there to save Forge?

Author's Response: Oops...I seem to have been inadvertently confusing. I had this whole part where Logan goes chasing after Rogue and finds out she's been captured, but it didn't seem to add much. In my mind none of them knew that the collar had a tracker. When Rogue put it on and activated it, it didn't take long for them to catch up with her. I figured showing her in captivity would get the message across, but I guess I left too much unsaid. She wasn't looking for Forge or trying to rescue him, but she did know that Magneto would be coming for her, which is why she left the mansion. She also knows that Magneto is looking for Forge (that's why he bought Pyro, etc.), and why he wants him.

Oooo. Shit got real. I love this. Marie is such a tough woman. These people have no idea what they've let themselves in for.

Author's Response: Yeah, kind of a sudden dark turn, but there's no sugar-coating the lab. Glad to see that this Marie is coming across as tough. It's what I really wanted for the character, but when that toughness comes from a place of vulnerability sometimes it's a hard note to hit. Thanks so much for your review!
