Amen, sister! I like the way Marie thinks!
I've said it before and I'll say it again; I really enjoy how you write these two characters--very believable and compelling. You always have the right amount of angst without going to far and the perfect amount of sweetness that is just so right. Sometimes I find that I only like one character of a couple but you really do a great job writing both characters that I find myself really rooting for both of them together.
Sigh. I can't get enough of this couple and this story. I'm really glad that you're back from your hiatus.
Author's Response: Yeah, that Marie. She's a smart one. I'm so glad you are liking the characters. I think it's hard sometimes for me to hit the right balance -- a character I meant to make strong just becomes bitchy instead, someone I wanted to be vulnerable just comes off as weak and whiny, etc. Maybe a lot like life, you don't always hit what you're aiming for! I started to write this Marie partly in reaction to my Marie in "The Rogue," who I felt was too weak overall, but then this one started being just too prickly/dysfunctional. It means a lot that you feel that the way I've tacked back in the other direction is still believable for the character. Oh, and did I mention I passed? ;-)

I really thought this chapter was quite touching. I didn't expect a thoughtful Logan even without going into a lot of exposition you gave him a soft side. I like it a lot.
Author's Response: Thanks so much...so glad you liked it! Yes, I like the thoughtful/insightful side of Logan -- when he stops bullheadedly trying to impose his will on the situation and just takes a step back to really understand what's going on with Marie.

Author's Response: Aw...yeah. Logan being understanding is damn sexy, isn't it? I feel like a lot of stories go the route of Logan convincing Marie that her mutation is not such a big deal. But it really is, and I liked the idea in this one of Logan coming to understand how important it is to her. Thanks for reviewing!
