Love the whole story. But my favorite parts are Jack's point of views.

Great story!

I love this story, and I think I really enjoyed Jack's chapter the best. Rabbits are pretty darn cool.

HAHAH I love the ending :D Must say, Jack is my fav character in this fic, followed very closely by the two leads but still, Jack steals the show in every scene he deigns to enter :D

Author's Response: Yeah, I love Jack. He's the perfect dog in my head. Thanks for the review!

Such a cute ending to the story! I loved it!!! :D
This was the best line, I think: "Marie must be carrying Logan's puppies." Hehe, adorable.

Author's Response: Thank you! I just wanted to have a little Jack interlude at the end.

I had almost forgotten about Daddy the Mobster, but I like that you gave Marie a chance to settle that score.

Best dialogue I've read in a loooong time:

"Remind me never to piss you off, Marie."
"You better start putting the seat down, then."
(I so wish I could make with the snappy retorts in real life, but alas, I'm usually not that quick.)

Author's Response: I had another comeback and then this one just popped in my head. It was too good not to use. :p

I'm glad you've enjoyed writing this, because I'd hate to think that something I've enjoyed reading this much had been any sort of pain in the butt.

As sorry as I am to see this end, what a sweet ending it was. Loved that you gave Jack the last word and letting him reveal Marie's 'condition' was positively inspired. Bravo! -- Wendie

Author's Response: Well, like any story it was a pain in the butt from time to time but, overall, I enjoyed doing Rogan from a different perspective. Thanks for your ongoing support! :)

Hooray! That's about as happy-ever-after as you can get with those two. Thank goodness. One thing I don't understand is, why did Marie's dad want her back? It didn't seem to me that he really cared about her all that much. So what good would it have done for her to be back? Maybe I just didn't read closely enough; I'll just go back and reread their happy-ever-after. :)

Author's Response: I debated whether or not to put some in there from Owen's perspective - maybe I'll add something. As I saw it, in this moment, Owen is remorseful for what Victor did but, deep down, he feels more responsible for making a made a bad judgement call putting Victor in the place he did. Owen is a posessive man and Marie is more his property than a beloved daughter. He loves her, but he also sees her value in terms of securing his empire by marrying her to someone who can take over. He wanted her to come back so that he could maintain face and have her back in the fold. Thank you so much for reviewing!

Well done! A climactic fight scene written with the same precision and efficiency as every other chapter. I need to take lessons from you on how to know when 'enough is enough'. Can't wait to see how this all winds up, though I will be sad to say goodbye to this Logan and this Marie...and Jack. --Wendie

Author's Response: Thanks, Wendie. I sort of feel like I don't quite get enough in there! But there comes a point where I feel like I'd better cut it off or risk just rambling. :p

I sure hope Marie comes back to the cabin, picks up Logan's gun and causes Victor excruciating pain with it...Either that or Jack bites Victor in the balls...On second thought, that might be icky for Jack... LOVE the bit from Jack's POV. I'd bet you hesitated to jump into Jack's head, didn't you? It is pretty far off the beaten path, even in fan fic, so it's a rather bold move to say the least. (Did you know Nora Roberts actually once wrote part of a chapter from the POV of a squirrel? Then again, being Nora Roberts, she can get away with stuff like that.) But if you tried to talk yourself out of it, I'm glad you didn't listen to yourself, because it worked beautifully. As ever, I can't wait for more! -- Wendie

Author's Response: I actually got the idea of Jack's POV from Stephen King's Cujo. I just wanted a little peek into that doggy mind, you know. Thank you!

marie will save him! she's not gonna let vickie hurt her man or her dog! plus it's only right she be the one to kill him anyway. love reading jack's POVs, they're fun. i hope bobby's ok though, just tied up somewhere or even taking a nap in his patrol car or something, not dead. can't wait for marie to come to the rescue, she's totally capable!

Author's Response: Well, our Marie is more than capable isn't she? Thanks for the review!

Not only that, nut unlike any other story I have read, this fully takes it into the greatest perspective because you have eliminated the homo superior from this. They are just regular everyday people, yet you stay true to their characters. I love that, it's a brilliant take to it. I felt closer to the characters because they were put onto a level I understand and relate to, as opposed to the pedestal I place them upon. Also, love the fact that there isn't the issue of mutant hatred. I know its a big [art of the X-men and what they do, but it's so refreshing to focus on the character issues instead of the issues caused by the hatred of the society hosting the characters.

Author's Response: For some reason, I never saw this review! Thank you so much and I'm glad you liked the perspective. I really enjoy seeing what the characters do in the 'real world'. I have another idea for one after this story as well. Sorry so late with my 'thank you'!

It's been a very long time since I have been able to read or write any fan fiction. But in the last 2 days I finished reading a story I started a while ago. And then I came across this one. This story is every reason why I read fanfiction. It is fucking brilliant. Every single chapter builds a story that I can see revealed before my eyes. I feel everything the characters do. And not only that but It tickles my obsession fancy for X-men. I love this. And I hope to God that you continue this story for many chapters to come. You've opened my eyes and have given me something I never thought I would ever get back... Pure happiness. You've inspired me to pick up my favorite passtime and hobby again. And you have no idea how much this story has put me back in the place I have yearning to be. No words can say exactly how I feel. It's like going blind and suddenly being able to see again. I know it wasn't your intention when writing this, but Jesus... I feel like this has inspired me to live again. No longer needing to go by the standards of others. I lost myself and my passions just trying to survive in life. But what good is survival if you don't do and enjoy the things you truly love? Thank you for inspiring me to be myself and to not give a damn how others think or feel.

Author's Response: Wow. Wow. I'm really humbled, Cherryblossom. Thank you, thank you for your amazingly kind and passionate words. I'm blessed to have people reading that love Logan and Marie as much as I do and put up with my 'alternative ideas' of their relationship. Thank you for reading. Thank you for reviewing. :)

Sweet and loving, bit by bit they learn to believe what they feel in their guts is true - that they belong together. The confrontation with Victor is going to be interesting since we are sans powers.

Best moment in this chapter; 'You belong with me, Marie.' I can just see those wounded puppy eyes...>sigh<
