This is such a great chapter. First of all, it's a really clever way to get Rogue on-site to Alcatraz. The test looking like a pregnancy test was a wry, realistic little moment. This part was great: "Her skin crackled with the sensation. She could feel it reaching out, wanting to take in the life-force of the person brave enough to challenge it. But nothing happened." Such a tense moment of first touch, and then it all goes to hell. And...aw, how sweet is Logan kissing her forehead. Yum.
Author's Response: I like moments where tough Logan shows how much he cares. It's always in little ways, but so meaningful! : )

I really love this chapter. There are just so many things going on in it. I love how you have Rogue's mutation hungry and wanting. You did a great job with the cure and explaining about Rogue class 4 status. My favorite parts were where Rogue asked to call home and then quickly called the mansion and Logan was ready to come to the rescue. Great job!
Author's Response: he really wasn't though, was he? He was on his way to deal with Magneto and Jean and...poof...Rogue's there too. Convenient, yes? :)

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the concept of her skin 'wanting' the other mutations, like it's a separate thing with a life and needs of its own. BRAVO!
Have to dash, but I'll definitely be back for the other chapters soon...
