OOOO me loves it! GREAT chapter! You captured the snow struggle perfectly. It's hell to slough through snow, and to do it while hauling a Logan-weight along too, wow I can imagine all the muscles Marie has just pulled, strained, or otherwise done a nasty to! Love that she finally realised that he needs her body heat, that he hasn't got any of his own to warm up with. For once you ended at a spot where I am content to let them be for a while, all snuggly buggly warm and coy :D.
Hopefully you are feeling better, though based on the speed of this update I fear not.

Author's Response: I know, right? Usually Logan's injuries are so dramatic, I think the slow slide into frozen unconsciousness is kind of creepy. He didn't even know it was happening. Thanks for reviewing! Hope you think I compensated him appropriately for the pain I put him through in this chapter. ;-)

Oh poor Logan! Thank god Marie went out and found him!
This was an excellent chapter- quick moving, terrifyingly exciting, and moving. Part of me wonders if Marie might get the flu or something though. Then Logan could nurse her...hehe.
Anyway, loved it and can't wait for more!
Author's Response: Yeah, poor little...I mean big...guy. I'm glad you found it quick-moving...I was trying to create a sense of urgency without Marie totally freaking out. Funny, a few people have requested a sick Marie with Logan as caretaker. No plans for it so far, but then again aside from a few major plot points I never know quite what's going to happen next! Thanks for reviewing!

I always love your stories, and this one is no exception. I really like the idea of her spending a year alone, which looks like it may end up being almost a year of Logan being the only person she sees (which is, of course, awesome). I love the progression so far and I'm always waiting on the edge of my seat for the next update! Although it's too bad whoever taught Marie her first aid skills didn't cover the fact that alcohol will actually lower the core body temp and is a very bad idea with hypothermia. Seriously, truly, not nitpicking or criticizing, it's actually a super common idea so it makes sense that she'd try it (plus he'd enjoy the drink anyway), it's just a factoid I learned from red cross first aid class.
Author's Response: I'm so glad you're liking it. Yeah, my original conception of this story was that it would be like a "bottle episode" of a t.v. series...for the vast majority of the story it would be just the two of them, and the slow development of their relationship. And, yeah, you're right, she screwed up. I knew alcohol doesn't help, but I didn't realize it actually hurt -- good too know! She also shouldn't be rubbing his arms, etc., but, I figured without internet or anything she'd be relying on common wisdom for the most part. Thanks so much for reviewing!

Author's Response: Yeah, I liked that too. There's a time and place for Marie to be a damsel-in-distress, but she's also strong and smart in her own right, and she's not gonna sit passively by if her man is in trouble. ;-) Thanks for the review!
