Barely Legal Since 2000
Words can't express all the joy right now. Maybe I should quit reading. This is a very nice ending after all. I hope nothing bad will happen...
So sweet! I love the imagery of Logan just lying there, resting on his arm as he watches Marie sleep. So peaceful. Beautiful. And the claiming...well, gosh, that's always good. :p
Logan musings are so painfully bitter-sweeet they make me ache.
Thank you for sharing the story with us.
Author's Response: Aw, thanks. I am always surprised by how much is going on in his head. I start writing, thinking it'll just be a paragraph or two, and then all of a sudden I have a big section. I think it makes sense, though. He doesn't say much out loud, but he's thinking through it all. Thanks for reviewing!
Great chapter :) very hot and happy ;) hope that doesn't mean you'll be torturing these two too much more anytime soon (on the other hand if it leads to chapters like these, feel free!)
Author's Response: Glad you liked it! Well, there will be a threat to our happy couple down the road, but for now I think there's going to be a little time spent exploring their relationship. :-)
Awww, Logan makes me all teary the way he expects her to change her mind or something to happen. And your sneaky WWII memory that you snuck in there was ingenious!
Anyway, loved this chapter!!! This story is definitively a fave!
Author's Response: Yeah, poor Logan. He's gotta always be looking for the catch, right? Hopefully Marie can convince him that he deserves good things. Glad you liked the WWII memory! I know absolutely nothing about military history, so I had to search a little to find a battle in the snow. Canadian snipers were actually there too, but I went ahead and hooked Logan up with the Americans, in line with a little of the Origins backstory.
I love the tenderness here. Interesting contrast with the sharp edges between them in "The Merchandise" -- it's sexy but so loving and gentle, even with the urgency you've conveyed in this chapter.
Author's Response: Aw, thanks! Yeah, for some reason I think the characters work a lot better when Marie is the more stable one, and Logan is having his rough edges smoothed. I haven't really done that since "The Prisoner," but somehow it seems to work much better. Thanks for reviewing!
Awwww!! Love it. Also, HOT!!
Author's Response: :-D So glad you liked it. Thanks so much for reviewing!
