Barely Legal Since 2000
This was such a brilliant story! You have dealt with difficult issues and yet everything felt so genuine. I loved you Marie and seeing her struggle... It was heart-breaking. I loved how Logan finally accepted things, stopped thinking of others' opinion on their relationship and took initiative to be there for Marie. All in all, great work! Thank you!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm so glad you found the story and enjoyed it. I really appreciate you taking time to write a review. :)
Great first chapter! There's so much tension and so much promise for the subsequent chapters. Can't wait to read them.
Author's Response: Thanks Aoria - I'm glad you liked it. Hope you enjoy the rest!
I absolutely love how these last two chapters work together, the irony of which of the two men from Marie's past -- her rapist and her father -- did her the most harm. I also like the POV shift in this chapter -- perfectly timed, I might add.
And Logan has been many things over the years, but a 'psycho power early warning detection system' definitely takes the proverbial cake. Excellent!
Author's Response: Thank you! I wanted to get more from Logan's POV - we'll get more of him soon as well. ;)
I love to read about the connection between Logan and Marie in this story. The part at the beginning (Jealous much?) was hysterical and dead accurate. I can totally see this happening with almost any rendition of Logan and Marie. Keep write and we'll keep reading!
Author's Response: Will do! Thanks, I like Marie and Logan's friendship as well as their romance. I appreciate the review!
SPOILER ALERT FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO READ REVIEWS FIRST TO SEE IF THE STORY IS WORTH READING: Well, of course, he couldn't still be in a coma. Duh! Yeah, right, like I saw that coming...NOT! But it does make perfect sense -- and a beautiful twist -- that if Marie is really going to get any closure, she's going to have to confront a living, breathing, conscious Cody. And doesn't this just make things SO much more interesting where Logan is concerned? Oh, hell, yeah... Keep 'em coming; this just gets better and better! -- Wendie
Author's Response: I'm glad it was a twist! Thank you for the continued support!
LOVE that you didn't fall into the typical 'make-love-to-me-to-kill-the-pain-and/or-fear' trap. And Jubilee's email was priceless. Can't wait to see how things go with Cody... --Wendie
Author's Response: Thanks as always, Wendie!
Significant? I'll say! Oh, how I love that he said it would never matter if she were physical with him or not. Love does not equal sex, nor vice versa. You've uncovered yet another new and singularly unique side to your Logan, to say nothing of the insight you bring to Marie. Well done.
Author's Response: Thank you! Yeah, for me Logan's physicality is a facet to him but isn't necessarily what he's all about. Marie is more important to him than just a roll in the hay.
Holy crap! I cannot wait to read about that particular reunion! I don't think I have ever read anything anywhere that has Marie and Cody ever seeing each other again after that first time, let alone adding Logan into the mix... 'on pins and needles' doesn't even begin to describe it!
Author's Response: Oh, it should be fun! Thanks!
Excellent. I'd say more but Marie's line about 'Guys like you should burn in a special place in hell' keeps ringing in my head and I can't think past what happened today in Connecticut... :(
Author's Response: Yeah I know. True, isn't it?
