Author's Response: My justification for "slut" was more that he was trying to shock Bobby with the knowledge that he knew the two of them had been fooling around, or close to it, rather than that is what he really thinks of Kitty. In this version I don't think he really cares one way or the other about her, but I don't think he really thinks she's a slut, either. Really bad taste in guys, yeah, but at this point he could probably say hat about Rogue, right? ;-) I'm glad you agree that the beating was necessary.
