I don't know what to say about this story! It appears to have every troupe in a X-Men story: clueless Logan, mutant labs, breeding experiments, love triangles, even Jean "rising" from the dead, and yet it doesn't seem like the author is forcing a mishmash of plot-points into a half-baked story. It all flows into this seamless work of art that is gripping, heart wrenching, bittersweet, yet hopeful. All I can say is Bravo!

God, I love this story so much. I must have read it at least fifty times or more. Wow--it's just utterly incredible. What I wouldn't give to see this in theatres with Hugh and Anna. Best. Story. Ever. :)

Um, yeah. Wow? I don't know what else to say except 'guh' to the one sex scene with the mirror. That was really hot. They're both believably dense and slow about their feelings, and the story is made bittersweet by the backdrop of the war (that scarily reminded me of all I've ever learned about the Shoah) and the loss of so many, as well as the temporary and painful reunion with Remy and Jean, especially Jean. I was also impressed that you didn't just gloss over their previous relationships, but acknowledged and explored their grief.

Props, bub.

This has always been one of my favourite stories. I love the intensity, the raw emotion of it. There are so many fantastic scenes and the characterizations and storyline are absolute perfection. Can't wait to see more from you :D

My Gods, what a ride! You're one hell of a story-teller.

I've always liked this story, and it didn't disappoint this time either. I love how Rogue tries to deflect with humor, how Logan tries to feel things through and act without thinking. He should trust his feelings more - they wouldn't lead him astray. Rogue, on the other hand, doesn't trust her feelings, only her thoughts. It's slower for her. I think she deals with her conscience more, not her fear. But it's right for her, too. It's right for both of them.

And I like the way the relationship between them slowly unfurls and becomes more, as though all the shit that happens to them was their chance to be together, to take the risk, to be bold enough to want it all. I love that their love for each other makes them too cowardly to try and take it all, and then makes them realize that they should grasp it no matter what that ends up meaning.

One of my favorite stories, Abelard. Although...there was far more smut than I remember. *g* I wonder how I forgot that? Heh.
