The Night Before Christmas - X-Men Style by tinhutlady
`Twas the night before Christmas and all through the rooms
Not a creature was stirring during this winter snooze.
The stockings were hung by the small and the tall
In the hopes that the bounty would be shared by all.

The students were nestled, all snug in their beds
While visions of normalcy haunted their heads.
The professor and teachers, their work done in a blink
Had just settled down in their beds for a wink.

When in the night sky there began to appear
A miniscule sleigh with eight tiny reindeer.
More rapid than eagles they flew o'er the land
And lit on the roof of this mansion at hand.

Their little ol' driver hopped out with a jump
Then shot down the chimney to land with a bump.
He filled all the stockings, each one with great care
He knew all the wishes and dreams of those there.

Each little mutant had done what they could
To make this old world a better place for the good.
To the Beast he gave wisdom, to Storm he sent unity
To the Cyclops went patience, to Jean he gave piety.

Rogue received hugs, Jubilee received grace
Kitty was sent hope to shine bright in her face.
The rest weren't forgotten, not one was left out.
Bobby was dealt forbearance and Remy less doubt.

To St. John he gave caring, to Samuel great joy.
No one was passed over, not one girl or boy
Until at the end one stocking was left
But the sack stood empty and Santa bereft.

A noise made him turn and he beheld the man
Who owned the last sock that lay flat in his hand.
"What gift can I give you?" the jolly elf asked.
"What do you need? Do you still seek your past?"

"I now have a home and people who care
So I don't think you'll find anything to put there."
The Wolverine turned `round and left Santa at ease
And when he was gone Santa gave him some peace.
