Only you could write a believably bashful Logan. Jubes has a point, not all hairy criminals are likable - just the one laced with adamantium. If they stay in New Orleans long enough maybe Jubilee will singlehandedly make the south rise again.

I'm a naughty girl & read this during class. Oops. Let's be honest, this dominates research methods any day of the week. Hands down. The Swamp Rat won a tiny piece of my heart by allowing his little Cajun butt to get kicked and since I just watched the series finale of Friday Night Lights w/ the guy who played Origins Gambit - I got me a nice visualization of that.

I'm so glad you're back :D I missed your writing like you wouldn't believe. I'll be honest, I was a little confused with the time shifts, but I think I got it. You have such a way with words, really. You give us these vivid descriptions without bogging us down in too many words. That's just....just amazing - which is an understatement. You think of everything too - I like that you're really trying to work in Origins, despite how the movie kind of messes with the other X-movies.

Part of me is completely envious of your writing ability, but most of me is just dying to see where you take this. I'm just so, so, so glad you're back!

P.S. I'm with you about X3 issues. I think the entire WRFA is.

They\'re there to a) make me write more by making me write less (if that make sense); b) distinguish this work\'s style from Dark Side of the Moon (also 3rd person shifts between Rogue and Logan); and c) mirror how I would edit a fan vid based on these songs (I miss vidding like you would not believe!) Before I sat down to plan this fic, I actually wrote up a comprehensive timeline that reconciles Origins with the Trilogy and even the new First Class movie (e.g. how Emma Frost\'s character got recycled). I even cooked up a few Rogan coincidences pre-Trilogy, just because I\'m that obsessed, haha.

Right on! Definitely a Merry X-Mas over here on the WRFA. Thank *you* for your spectacularly thoughtful reviews along with this little Merry X-Mas (it's an X-Men fanfic archive, there's no way I'm spelling the holiday out!) shout out.

I've been hard pressed to find a new story that I can get into lately, but this looks incredibly promising. I've enjoyed your other fics and can't wait to see where you go with this one. You're really able to paint a clear picture here without bogging us down with too many words. I envy that. :)

Author's Response: I like brevity, but I also think it suits the character. I just don\'t see Logan as being a particularly wordy guy - he\'s more action. Except in this fic, strangely. Then it\'s all about the words .... oops, major hint dropped. Bother. ;)
