Barely Legal Since 2000
Wow. Damn this is awesome - so heartrending and yet so sweet! I absolutely loved it!
I find myself always coming back to all your stories. I have reread them numerous times and are always so wonderful. I know that I will always come back and read these. You are an amazingly talented writer and I can't thank you enough for sharing these with us.
I've read this many times and it never gets old. It's very sweet and funny. I really liked the way you handled the Jean question too. Definitely one of my favs.
It's interesting how people interpret things. I didn't get the feeling that he was lying to her at the end at all unlike some other reviewers. I really feel that this is an awesome happy ending. Thanks again for sharing this!
I really loved this! You did a great job conveying Logan's thoughts and how he finally worked out his true feelings for Jean and Marie. And the ending was perfect!
Please continue this story! You can't leave it there! That cliffhanger is EVIL!!! Please tell me that you haven't abandoned this?! Please?!
Hey, it's great that you came back to this! I've really been enjoying this and I'm looking forward to reading about how it'll all play out. Thanks for coming back!
Okay, I'm going to be a pain in the ass and post this here too. I hope you decide to come back and work on this story too. It's really good and it would be awesome to see you post more. I hope you are able to find your way back to this one.
This story is fantastic! It is so sweet and heartfelt. I loved how you portrayed Logan and Marie--realistic, loving people who are trying to do what's best for each other. This could have been very dark and bitter but instead it was very sweet and uplifting. It was also nice to see all the other X-Men as so supportive for a change instead of being used as plot device to drive Logan and Marie apart. I really loved this story and I already added it to my favorites. Thanks for sharing this!
This was fantastic! It was so sweet and romantic! It's yet another one of your stories that I've added to my favorites. Your stories are just amazing!
So glad that you are back! I seriously love this story. Nice touch with showing just how smart Logan really is. You really do a great job of making him believable and three dimensional. Your writing always pulls me in with a vengeance!
Forgive me if I sound like a stalker but PLEASE come back and update this! It was fantastic when you came back a few months ago after being gone for so long. You were really on roll! Please don't leave us hanging! This story and Last Chance are really fantastic! Please come back!
Holy s#@t! You're back! Awesome! I can't wait to read your new chapter but I too need to go back and reread this, not that I'm complaining. Pleasepleaseplease tell me that you'll also start working again on "Last Chance" too?!
I'm so psyched that you are back!
Hey, for what it's worth, my interest in this story has not waned at all! I've just been really behind on reviewing. As I mentioned before, I'm so happy that you are back and continuing your stories, which are fantastic, by the way. I'm totally interested in reading a sequel to this and I seriously can't wait for you to start working on Last Chance again. Keep up the great work!
Okay, forgive me for being a Master of the Obvious, but that is NOT a good vision!!! I hope things don't end up badly for them...
I'm really enjoying this! Although Marie's vision is making me anxious for them. That being said, I really love the relationship that you've developed between Marie and Logan! I look forward to your next update.
This story just keeps getting better. Very intrigued about Elizaveta's vision and Rogue's abduction. Can't wait for the next chapter!
I hope that you will update this soon because I miss this (and Last Chance)!
I can't tell you how happy I am to see that you posted a new chapter! I do not claim to be psychic by any means but I was thinking of you the other day and wondering if you'd come back to this. I can't wait to read this but I'm off to a crazy busy day at work right now. But I will definitely read this tonight for sure. I really love this story and I have missed it. Thanks for updating!
I really enjoyed this chapter! I love the relationship developing between Marie, Logan and the kids. And I never get tired of the dialogue/banter between Marie and Logan. You really do a great job of creating three dimensional characters that you root for and care about.
Also, this line cracked me up. Great reference to one of my favorite SNL skits:
“More cowbell,” Rogue murmured, smirking at Logan. He rolled his eyes, but still smiled back.
I can't wait for the next update!
I seriously miss this story! I hope you will be able to update this soon! You can't leave it there!
Okay, so one of my favorite writers on this site, Artemis2050, just posted a new story after an almost two year absence. So it got me thinking again about all the other favorite writers of mine that I haven't heard from in a while. So here I am, harassing you again and asking you to please come back. I miss this story and your writing. And as I'm sure you've already noticed, I not too proud to beg. Please come back, dammit! ;)
Wow! This story is phenomenal! I'm just sorry that it took me so long to find it! There's so much to say that I don't think I'm going to be coherant, but I have to write this so please bear with me.
First off, your prologue was amazing and from there I was immediately hooked. I loved your characterization of Rogue. God, you made her so real! I loved her ramblings, humor, self doubt, angst, and disorientation/pain/lust/love over Logan.
There are just too many scenes that I love: the confrontation when Logan tells her how he feels, Rogue getting drunk (several times!), Rogue going Terminator in the lab, their first kiss, Logan finding her in the rain and well, just about everthing else in this story.
I also really enjoyed Mystique and Scott in this too. They were really well written and it was great to see them complicated and not just the scapegoat villians that I usually come across. The plot was great too - everything just worked so damned well. Your epilogue was perfect and I like how you tied it all back to the prologue.
Sorry if I'm gushing like a fourteen year old girl (I'm actually much, much older so I have no excuse) but this story was just amazing and an absolute joy to read. I even got into a fight with my husband because I couldn't put it down. Yeah, I know, I've got issues. ;) Any way, thanks for your hard work, talented writing and commitment to finishing this story! It's stories like this that keep me addicted to this fantastic fanfic site.
Author's Response: Haha! I get in to fights with my husband all the time because I\'m reading something I refuse to put down. He teases me about the kind of books I read as well. The grump! I just wanted to say thank you so much for your review, and for enjoying this fic so much. Especially for saying I managed to make Rogue so real. I could hug you for that! You\'ve put a massive grin on my face today :oD Thank you!
Who wouldn't be addicted to Logan, seriously?! Sounds like a a pretty awesome addiction to have, actually.
BTW, I loved the chapter end notes! Hilarious (I laughed out loud) and very sweet.
Author's Response: we\'re all on this site - I think that means we\'re all addicted to some degree! (or maybe we\'re all just slightly mad who knows? [or cares!] ) as for *that* conversation - dont you just love how young minds work? I think to a teenager anyone over the age of 25 is ancient. I\'ve been trying to set the record straight, I may well be ancient but I aint dead yet! Thanks for f/b, glad you enjoyed it x
I have to admit that I have come across this series countless times on this site and I have always resisted reading it. I too have enjoyed your numerous stories so it's not like I had anything against your writing. And as another reviewer already mentioned, your stories are always very creative and interesting. But I couldn't shake the vibe that this would be very dark and full of unrepentant angst and I just wasn't in the mood for that. I'm usually game for just about anything but for some reason I had it fixed in my head that this wouldn't be the series for me. I had cheated a few times too by reading some reviews and based on that I just felt that this might be too dark, harsh and depressing, a long series that I didn't feel like investing in.
But when it popped up yet again in The Story Of The Moment section, for some reason I ended up clicking on it and finally taking the plunge.
And I have to say that I was totally wrong. Was it dark and full of angst? Yes, but that wasn't a bad thing at all. In fact it was a very compelling series and depicted a complex relationship. They went through so much and yet there was love and devotion between them as well. Their world was harsh and bleak but it fit so well with the story and I wanted to know how they could survive in that world and what their relationship would be. I especially liked the way you incorporated Aliens into it too, that was a nice twist that I didn't expect. Once I started reading this series, I couldn't stop.
This is also the first time I've read an ending where the two main characters die in each other's arms and NOT felt pissed off, cheated or thought it was a lame way to end it. It made sense to me that they would die together and it didn't seem sad or lame, just right that they were together and still utterly devoted to each other.
And with Rebirth, you also managed to make that believable as well. It didn't seem tacked on, forced or discredit what had gone before. It seemed right that they would have gone through so much, even death itself, to finally be reunited and given another life, another chance at happiness together. I have to say that I would have been satisfied with either ending but I definitely prefer Rebirth.
Thanks for sharing this. It was well worth it and I am kicking myself for being so unfairly judgmental and stubborn about not reading it before.
