Barely Legal Since 2000
Sweet chapter. I have a feeling Marie's going to get her hands on that note and is not going to be happy with the last line. :p
Author's Response: Hehe. I think there are about a hundred ways that a confused woman with repressed memories and serious trust issues could misinterpret Logan\'s little note. Fun!
Great chapter. Marie and Logan are in for a heck of a ride!
Author's Response: Thanks! They sure are. I just hope I can pull it all together. This story\'s so twisty turny, I tend to lose track of where the characters are, and how they\'re developing along with the plot, especially since I\'m working on a zillion other things right now. Oh well, hopefully it comes together okay :). Thanks for reading
I didn't mind the brief detour at all. The story is character perfect and your descriptions are awesome.
"Stupid fucking healing factor" indeed.
I was tempted to just not read this because I wanted to finish the story right. now. But I'll be patient. Great job.
Author's Response: Ha! I know what you mean. It\'s hard to read incomplete stories--especially if you\'re worried the author will disappear and never finish it lol. Thanks for the review.
Yeah, well, I don't mind the lovey-dovey stuff much.
"all his confusing Jedi proverb bullshit" that much made me LOL. Great stuff, can't wait to read what's coming next. :)
Author's Response: Glad you\'ve enjoyed the story so far. I\'m a fan of the lovey-dovey too, but I did promise action, and gosh darnit I\'m gonna deliver as soon as the mushy romantic muses quit takin\' over every chapter :P
Oh how I did a little happy dance when I saw the update in my email.
Love, love that Marie and Carol 'had it out'.
Logan's wrestling with himself was awesome.
And my favorite line:
"Rogue made a face. She didn’t like clothes. They were stupid. And scratchy."
I can just see her wrinkled nose at the idea of getting dressed. Loved it!
Author's Response: Aw. Happy dance? Cool. I\'m glad Logan\'s thoughts came through well. It\'s hard to get inside a brooding, surly, possessive guy\'s head, but lucky for me I happen to know one who put up with an hour or so of relentless questioning =D.
"HmmHMMMM, Good Lordy, Fuck Yes, Wow, Shiiiiiiitbuoy."
That made me LOL. The entire scene was just awesome. You write them too perfectly. The poor bellboy!
Author's Response: Aw thanks. I\'m glad the scene came across well. Wanted to lighten the mood after the angst of the last couple of chapters. Yes, poor bellboy. Logan is not what we\'d call a people-person . . .
And she's back! Great chapter. So excited to see Marie taking more control. :)
Author's Response: Yes! She\'s back. And off to finish your story now. Woohoo =)
"Well, yeah. She was. So there you go."
Love that line.
Now that Marie is 'out', this ought to be interesting. Don't beat yourself up over having a tough time on a chapter, it happens to everyone. It turned out well and I think you can get into showing more of how Marie and Rogue are integrated and how she will now interact with Logan. Loving it.
Author's Response: Thanks. I\'m glad the chapter wasn\'t as bad as I thought. Ya know, sometimes you just edit it to the point that you\'re not sure what you actually wrote and what you took out. Hmph. There will definitely be a little more Marie/Rogue integration drama, and those repressed memories are going to come into play. Poor Logan. He\'s in for a bumpy ride, bless \'is heart.
Yeah, I'm guessing that little mantra won't last long. ;) Great update. Like seeing Marie and Rogue integrating and I can't wait to see what you have in store for them next.
Author's Response: Thanks. I\'m glad you\'re liking the integration. It\'s been slow-going deciding how to handle her dialogue and inner thoughts, how to gradually make that transition from immature Marie to the confident grown-up Rogue we saw at the beginning of the story--I hope I\'m able to do it justice and bring the readers along on the ride!
I just love the way you write their interactions. Great chapter.
Author's Response: Thanks for the read and the review :). I\'m glad you\'re enjoying the story.
So, so good. I just love their interactions. Logan rubbing his scent on her? Awesome. Can't wait to find out who the Agent is!
Author's Response: Thanks for the read and review =). I hope their interactions will be even more interesting once they\'re under the scrutiny of the mansion\'s residents. And yeah, yeah, Agent, plot, I\'ll squeeze that stuff in there too ;P.
Awesome chapter. Love the fact that Rogue went in there and was able to be a hero by herself and didn't end up the damsel in distress.
Ohhh, interesting. It's dark, it's sexy, it was a surprise. Nice.
Author's Response: Thanks. Glad the sexy-ness came through. I was worried it would be too overshadowed by the dark-ness. :)
“We playin’ hide ‘n seek?”
Yep, I have a feeling they are. And I didn't see that plot twist coming at all. Can't wait to see why she's married to him and how she and Logan interact. Great chapter.
Author's Response: :-D More clues are forthcoming! Glad I managed to surprise you with the plot twist.
I'm not looking foward to finding out what these 'treatments' are. Does not sound promising. :(
Author's Response: Yeah, you know Sebastian is up to no good, don\'t you? I have to say, I saw \"Crazy Stupid Love\" last night not knowing that Kevin Bacon was in it. I shivered every time he showed up on screen! He lives in my city part time, if I ever run into him in person I think I\'m going to run screaming the other way. ;-)
Loved it. Shaw is not going to be a happy camper when he loses Rogue.
Author's Response: Yup. ;-) Thanks so much for reviewing!
Well, that isn't the way to end a session like that! Poor Logan, what a time for their first fight! Great chapter.
Author's Response: Yeah, I\'m quite the buzzkill. ;-) Thanks for reviewing!
I didn't review here? I should have reviewed here. Yee haw! I knew they couldn't get away that scott free. It's comin' down now!
Author's Response: Aw, reviewing anywhere is awesome. Thanks so much! Yeah, things really heat up from here. :-D
A nail biter. Seriously. I felt Logan's rage as he sat in that cage watching everything around him. And, hot damn, I'd forgotten that she'd absorbed Azazel. Brilliant.
Author's Response: Aw, thanks so much for the review! I\'m so glad you liked it! I was worried I was \"broadcasting\" too much when Azazel said the part about teleporting being the only way in and out. I\'m glad I still managed to surprise you.
The memories were great. Poor Rogue and her voices - something tells me it's gonna get a might complicated now!
Author's Response: Thanks so much for your review! Yes, things are a little complicated from here, but cool, because Rogue is (Hallelujah!) *finally* Marie! And Marie is kind of a badass. ;-)
Yeah, loved it. Necessary chapter, but also really a good one too. I'm looking forward to seeing how Rogue controls her 'voices' and how that's going to affect her later.
Author's Response: So glad you liked it! Yeah, there is a little more in Rogue\'s head coming up. The chapter was just getting too long so I had to cut it off. :-)
Yeah. Awesome.
Author's Response: So glad you\'re liking it! Thanks for reviewing.
Loved the last line! Awesome chappy.
Author's Response: Aw, thanks! There\'s just something about the way Logan does \"sensitive\" that\'s really fun. :-D
Gah! That was hot and sweet and tender and just pure poetry. The image of her realizing that she could control her power and then having Logan right there to 'experiment' on...just delicious.
Author's Response: Aw, thanks so much. I\'m glad you liked it. Yeah, if anyone needs motivation to work on control, having semi-naked Logan right there seems like a pretty good incentive. ;-)
"it was like having another heart, beating outside his body, exposed and vulnerable."
What a fantastic line. Can't wait for the next chapter. The suspense is great.
Author's Response: Aw, so glad you liked that. Ages ago when I was in high school I read all the James Bond novels, and Bond said something about how having a woman tagging along with you was like having to protect another heart. He was all irritated about it, but It really stuck with me, so I \"stole\" it a little. I think Wolverine has (with good reason) never much reason to worry for himself, so having to worry for someone else must be a new and terrifying experience.
