This has been an unbelieveable ride of a story! I love the environment and the feel you've generated with your 'wordiness'. Bothe the setting and the characters have depth. Honestly, keep it coming- don't quit on this one...finish it out. It really is great!
Very very well done. Heartfelt and heartwarming. I did really feel for Logan and his dog in this story...Great read. And this...
Logan turned his head and looked at Marie over his shoulder. "I know you didn't just hit the clawed Canadian with a ball of slimy hair."
"What are you gonna do about it?" Marie challenged.
Logan smiled, then looked at the floor as he sat on the foot of the bed. The dog sat between his knees. He looked at her with a sigh. "Why are you not afraid of me?"
"What do you mean?"
"Come on, none of the other ankle biters in this place have the balls to even walk past my door. But here you are, cleaning out my bath tub and throwing shit at me."
...was the work of a genius. It just flows like any normal spat between true friends!

I spent a large part of my day yesterday (and nothing got done at home) reading your wonderful story. I decided to wait until morning to review.
This story is a TRUELY inspiring piece. You fleshed out the plot, the characters and their situations so realistically. I have no idea how long you spent on this whole thing, but I must say WOW.
I love Wolverine and I love Logan, sometimes an author will seperate the two in a story and sometimes it doesn't 'work' while I'm reading it... YOU however handled the entire aspect of our favorite mutant with respect and never debased either one or harmed them in any way. EVRYONE in the story (known XMen characters and your original ones worked togehter flawlessly and none of them stuck out in a bad way... And I have to tell you my heart broke as I read how Hank and Logan dealt with their own heartbreak near the end. You created characters that I fell and felt for! Thank You for writing such a piece of art for us! Definitely a favorite!
:)
I agree with butterfly53: Wolverine POV has really been done well and you've hit it. Can't wait for more... AND if they are your two favorite characters, then it's my opinion that you won't let yourself post anything that you're ashamed of. :)
