Suddenly the voices lower to a quiet murmur and all she can hear is him speaking to her and her own thoughts.

“I can help you, Marie. I can help you to be alone again in your mind. But first, you have to agree and you have to work with Jean so that we can.”
***Don't you dare make the professer bad in this fic. I couldn't handle it. I love how he is being good***

“It’s ok baby. I know it sucks, believe me I been there, but if you want to get better you have to.” So she steels her resolve and marvels at the new space she has in her mind and walks forward into the med bay. She can do this. She can do it for herself and for him. ***Fangirls!***

Crawling on all fours over to her friend, Marie made it over to her friends side. “Jean, Jean come on I need you to wake up.”

I like that line the most! I can see it and its sad and awesome.

Scott made a shushing sound at Jean and turned his attention toward Marie and Logan. His face was contorted in a mask of rage and frustration the look burned in his eyes along with a question. What can we do? It was still odd to her seeing Scott’s eyes, as brown as her own, without the protection of his glasses. He cradled Jean against him, rubbing her back and talking quietly to her.

I have to say that is my favorite scene of them all.

He’d meant to take his time going through the warehouse, he really had but the soft whimper of pain and brought him to a full run through the rooms. What he found would have made any man sick to his stomach and Logan wasn’t spared that emotion

So queasy about what happened but I am glad to see the normal human/mutant side of Logan.

Logan spent a long minute just holding her while she cried. He wasn’t sure what had happened while he was gone, but he’d get it out of her later rather than sooner. Now he just growled softly to her and held her close to him, glad to have his mate back in his arms.

I had two favorite lines. LOL. I love the sweetness of their relationship.

Because I gave him the separate Wolverine personality that is very selfish and know that is going to play a role in the future, I decided to take some time to show him as a man and showcase his humanity. It\'s one of the things that makes up the Logan that we all loved from the movies, his soft spot for Marie and his humanity.\r\n\r\nAlso, I love the way they interact too. They are in such a good place in their relationship they\'re starting a family together consciously. I thought I\'d remind everyone of how much they love each other. Plus it plays a huge role in this story as well.

Marie is now comfortable attired in pajamas with little monkey’s all over them, and matching yellow gloves. Obviously Jubilee had delved into her own closet instead of Marie’s. ***LOVE IT!!! I can see it and its so funny.***

“You can’t come near me, I don’t want to phase through the floor, make it rain, or blast a hole in the wall. Please-” she begs as Logan moves closer.
***Awww***

“That’s bullshit,” Logan finally breaks out of the spell he’s under. He turns to the Professor anger sparkling in his golden eyes. “She has to stay five feet from everyone all the time. It’s bad enough she has to cover herself from head to toe, now she can’t even stand next to someone. SHIT!”

He’s pissed. She can tell, truthfully, she shouldn’t have expected any less. Logan strove to give her as normal an existence as possible. He never let her wear gloves, insisted she wear tank tops and shorts when it was just them.
***Awwww. I love this Logan***

Belatedly she realizes that there’s only one comfort that she wants. She manages to stay in her chair, and knows that Logan can smell her misery by the way the arm of the danger room simulated chair splinters under his free hand. She still amazed he’s managed not to break the glass, but she notices that it’s fuller than it was before. ***I feel their pain***

I freaked, froze like I always do. No one realizes how scared I get sometimes when you guys get too close.” She’s thinking again. “So, it’s instinctual?”
***Poor Marie. I never thought that she would be freaked out by people near her.***

She’s scared. Piotr shifts his form, and she feels cool metal touching her forehead as he places a kiss there.
***Awwwwwwwwwww****

“Well, that much is- ” His comment is cut off by a spare pillow to the face. A small scale war ensues until Logan has Marie pinned on the bed, arms above her head, legs wrapped around his hips. Her heart races and a very detailed image passes through someone’s mind. Quickly they disentangle.
***Love it!!!!!!!!***

The dog tags. The pain that she feels spread through her chest is what she imagines it would feel like to have Kitty reach into your chest cavity and squeeze your heart. She reaches up, dragging a finger along her skin where the chain would rest, before heaving a sigh of regret. ***tears. So sad***

“Jean should let me kill those boys.” She hears him mumble as he passes
***I LOL-ED out loud***
“Ugh, could you imagine just what Remy would show me- ” She stops when she realizes Logan’s got an almost faint growl rumbling in his chest. It’s a particular emotion she hasn’t seen him display as of yet. Jealously looks good on him. ***Loved loved loved***

Author's Response: I love the scenes that you love to! Especially the sad stuff. I like the jealousy line a lot and the part with them on the bed is one of my favorites!!

His thoughts pour into her: confusion, elation, desire, but all of it is shadowed. By doubt. She pulls away from him, not wanting to feel or hear it anymore. But before she can retreat totally his hand pops up and touches her face. It’s love that she can feel pouring out of him. ***I love how its so realistic. And I love how they talk things out.***


I have to say I was thoroughly shocked at the whole them being left behind. And that they will appreciate it? Wow. Strong words. I can't wait to read what happens next.

Author's Response: that was actually a kind of hard scene to write. I wanted it to seem real, ,the wonder the doubt the fierceness of it all. \r\n\r\nAnd that was kind of always the plan, for them to be left behind when the Professor hightailed it out of there.

. Marie’s showered and brushed her teeth, it seems that the girl has everything in that duffel of hers. Instead of the ripped and torn jeans and shirt she’s got these tiny little pajamas on ***LOL. That line made me laugh***

a little too delighted at the prospect of spending a night in bed with her plastered up against him. ***He seems like a dirty old Letcher in that line. It makes me laugh and I love it.***

Marie groans aloud and buries her face in the pillow. ***I can totally see this. So cute and funny!***
