Oh, god. That was so tough to read. I'd hoped for a happy ending somehow. That Logan would heal Marie as she slipped away and lost control...that something would heal her. It never seems right when either of them die. It was beautifully written, though -- very realistic.

Somehow ice cream had become an intricate part of their time with each other, but that fact went unspoken. The innocuous little dairy treat had somehow moved them from friendship to ... hopeless flirtations with something less platonic. Maybe sugar just did that to people.
