Damn. Just damn. I have been away for a long time, but to come back and have this quality of work waiting? Damn. I never would have guessed it, but I wasen't sure who I was hoping would win in the end Logan or Creed. EXCELENT job on Victor, Logan, and Marie. Wonderfull story flow, amazing character depth, and supurb imagery. I always know a good story by the way it leaves me wanting more. And damn did it! Besides, I never thought that I would want to hug Victor Creed and make it all better! Thanks for the story!

Super steamy scene with Victor and Rogue! I feel for him so much though. You can see that he is in love with her, despite desperately not wanting to be. I am so curious to see how you ladies are going to end this as I am definitely torn between our two men here.

Good Gods, this was a glorious chapter! The descriptives alone were fantastic:
* lies dripped like venom
* makes your whole body burn
* high pitched shattering of the large picture window
* Four hundred plus pounds of animal rage

Ooh! I came right in time for the good stuff. Is it wrong that, after all this time of being afraid of DOOM, that I'm now wriggling in excitement? Is it wrong that I'm enjoying DOOM now that it's here? *trembles away from your wrath*

Ah...never mind. I'm too excited to have this all out in the open. It's gonna be Sooooo good.

Now let me take a moment to feel for the characters. Poor Victor. He's not going to know how far he's fallen until it's all gone, is he? He's confusing himself with how hard he's taking it. He didn't even acknowledge until this chapter how strange it was that he turned Rogue away, when that's *exactly* what he's blaming Logan for doing. He wants it all- a lot more than he thinks. In some ways, I wish we could see the R/V relationship play out without a Logan around to interfere - because how long before he realized?

But the chapter that was the most emotionally charged for me was the one with Rogue & Logan in the locker room. And the way she says, "No, not because you're sorry..." as he's kissing her cheek. And the way he didn't know how to tell her except to say "No," and keep kissing her, make her respond to him, make it up to her by making her feel good, respond to him. But at the same time, we've go the gift that *couldn't* be Logan's hanging over their heads. The interruption of the mission. And even under ideal circumstances, Logan still didn't let go of himself. It's so fragile between them, but that scene - *that* said how much they loved each other, how much it mattered. How little they were talking.

Oh, no. *sigh*

But is there enough beefcake for me in this fic? There is. Hehe. Scott, Victor, Logan - the beginnings of the fight there. Hoo, boy. This fight here. I have to tell you - if you want me to feel the angst, you have to stop distracting me with how arousing it is when these two beat each other up. *flutters* Or how supremely flattering! Rogue, I hope you look back on this and appreciate it. heh.

Author's Response: No we can totally understand the wriggling =) It's intentional on our part, to make our readers wriggle and squirm out of anticipation. As for Vic, he's just as stubborn and possessive as Logan is but in a different way. Under 'normal' circumstances he'd probably make sure no one else can have Rogue if he couldn't, you know, because a man like that won't be pleased at being second best. And of course, feeling something else besides pure physical lust or rage or whatever, has to be confusing to someone's who's never been loved as a child or never been in love as an adult (hence V's hate towards L and most of all towards R, and yes to himself aswell). So V may have set L off but he might not get the result he was hoping for. Or maybe he will. It's always so much fun to read your FB, Gamma, and I swear there's a part of you that's def psychic. More DOOM on monday =)
