I swear, this Rogue girl is a pain in the arse and all the way up to the tonsils!
She's confusing lust and love, she's demanding loyalty where she doesn't grant it, she wants companionship from a guy to whom she went for pleasure alone and she demands sincerety when she is playing little games.
I am quite run out of patience here, and I am beginning to think that she's a long way from becoming enough of a woman for ANY mature relationship. Guh.

Having said this, it's a great story - I didn't follow it so far, but got taken in just a few chapters ago and have now read it in one go - great job!

Author's Response: =) Well both me and Sky wanted to paint a slightly different pic of Rogue, since she's almost always portrayed as the victim, the silent girl waiting and pining for Logan, the submissive girl etc etc. ComicRogue is not MovieRogue, she's older, more confident, and perhaps more human too - she makes mistakes, makes the wrong choices sometimes. In short she too tend to fuck things up, that's not just something that the men do. So we knew we were going to get all sorts of reactions regarding the characters, basically because most people seem to be used to them behaving in a certain way. Glad you like our conflicted trio =) More coming up on monday (and oh you might wanna check under Skybluerae's penname because I'll be MIA any day soon ... there's a baby on the way =))

Oh, Rogue. She's so unhappy. I think she's finally beginning to see: she can have it all but not everything. Maybe Logan will *always* be closed off to her, will always feel guilty about it when he breaks, because he can't forgive Wolverine himself. Maybe Victor will *always* give his body to her, even control to her, but he'll never quite give himself. She's so unhappy in this chapter, even though she's finally beginning to see all the things she wants. And I fear that there's a lot more heartbreak to come for her. Poor Rogue.

I feel so guilty because - hehe - I feel for Victor next. Because he knew why she came to him. He knows he's second best for her, and tonight, I think maybe in the way he wanted to see her face while she blew him, the way he could see what she wanted, and the way he so easily gave her control, let her see all she did to him - I think he may want to be able to see all that in her, too. But she'll never be quite that open with him, because she's fascinated by him. But she doesn't love him. Poor Victor. Perhaps the hate hasn't begun yet, but I think it will.

I can't quite pinpoint why I feel less sorry for Logan. Maybe it's because I expect more from him as the potential boyfriend role instead of the potential fuck. Maybe it's because he's doing most of the holding-up-the-story as far as I can see. But when he says things like, "You want a man who comes to you after fight groupies?" I just want to smack him. Low. And unfair. And I get so tired when his own fear makes him ask things like, "Does he make you happy?" - because that's low and unfair in a different way. And it tears Rogue apart.

So maybe - poor Logan. Maybe that *is* his tragedy. That he makes his tragedy for himself. *pets him* :(

OMG!!!! Okay totally HOT to start off with Victor (WHOA!!) and then Logan as well and then at the end I was screaming "No,Logan you fool!" Oh man, what a rollercoaster ride this chapter was. THis updating only twice a week is killing me!

Actually, no, I don't think she wishes he knew. I'm loving this fic and I'm loving Victor for some reason, because really I shouldn't. The way Logan is behaiving I'm so tempted to say 'Yeah let her fuck Victor', but only tempted.
