Bobby is a lot more perceptive than I gave him credit for. But Logan ain't no fool, either.
Great line: 'No woman ever lets go of her first love, until he breaks her heart.' I never thought about it that way, but you're probably right. And even then, she never forgets, which is a kind of hanging on.
The 'low maintenance' speech is interesting, and distressing at the same time. I would hate to think that there was more truth than poetry in those words. Isn't Logan a better man than that? --Wendie
I like the way you were unapologetically true to the characters in this, especially Bobby. It didn't assume anything, none of the automatic 'Rogue is the only one for Logan'. It's nice to read their relationship portrayed in a different way. I enjoyed this - thanks!
Author's Response: Thanks. It was only my second try at writing X-men. I think some people only can promote their 'ships by knocking other characters down, which is sad. Everyone here has been very supportive and welcoming! -Killjoy
I was expecting something, like it being summer or something, but not his dorm!! Nice twist and honesty from both men, while sort of from both of them!
Author's Response: Thanks. I wrote this in a hurry, as a demonstration of twist endings for some kids in my class. Glad you enjoyed it! M
Awww, poor Bobby.....oh wait, I don't even like him. Nevermind! :-P Still, we all know on here that Logan does really just need time to come around for Rogue and Jean is basically an evil cow. LOL
Anyway, great short fic here. Any chance of another chapter?
Author's Response: I don't think this one goes anywhere, but thanks for the kind review!
Wow, I'd never have thought it a Bobby Drake with great insight, and making Logan out to be the asshole he appears in this fic.
But is he leading Rogue on on purpose, is Drake right?
Wondering away here....
Author's Response: I don't think Logan is leading her on, it's just like her reaction to him- something archetypal that they don't resist. Thanks for the very kind review!

Yeah, he can't admit it, but the Popsicle really does have it figured out. At least a lot more than Logan has. Talk about needing to get your head outta your ass! Or is Logan *just* an ass in this one? Yeah, Bobby sees, and can see, a lot more than people give him credit for, I think.
Nice read, good characterization, definitely made the reader *feel*. Good job!
Author's Response: thanks for the review. I always liked Ice in the comics, and I thought Ashmore's Bobby was kind of sweet, considering he loved a woman who would never consider him anything beyond second best. He's not very smart, so I figured he might be a bit empathetic.
