Love that look into Logan's mind.

Very good. I like how Logan put his thoughts into words. Very deep, but Loganish, if you know what I mean. ;) Keep up the great work.
I think this is wonderful. It is great to see you back. I love the Logan POV on this one.
Author's Response: I tend to think the majority of people prefer it when I stick with reading and steer clear of writing! so thank you for saying the opposite :) Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for taking the time to review it's really appreciated x
Oh yeah... been there, done that... hubby complains I "think too much" and it sounds just like Logan!! I should make hubby read this so he sees it's not just me!!!
Very well done!
Author's Response: Haven’t we all been there? This week my speciality question will be why couldn't I pick the winning lottery numbers for a change – what is it that always makes me choose the wrong ones? If I was born on the 14th instead of the 15th. If I got married on the 7th and not the 1st - these number changes could make all the difference!!! Oh well, just like Logan I wouldn’t change a thing…………………well maybe just a little!!!! And tell hubby we all think too much it’s just that some of us admit to it while others cover up by complaining about it!
A lovely journey through the introspection of Logan. I like it.
Author's Response: Thank you - I'm glad you enjoyed it x
This is just wonderful. You do such a fantastic job of getting inside Logan's head and making us 'see' what he sees, feel what he feels.
Favorite paragraph: the one where he wishes he could show people 'this is what I had' -- the mythical 'normal' life that he fears is 'just wishful thinkin', a dream of somethin' wanted but never held.' My heart just broke for him.
Still, you give us a happy, hopeful ending, in which, if Logan would just listen to himself a little harder he would discover that the answer to all his questions about Rogue is the happiest, most hopeful thing of all -- love.
Btw, I am STILL blushing from your (and Sahara's) kind words about me as a beta. I'll look sunburned for a week! Seriously, though, with raw material this good, beta-ing is two tons of fun. Guess I finally found a use for that English degree! --Wendie
Author's Response: He’s lived one way for all the time he can remember and what may have been before is just outside his grasp. He’ll understand his feelings at some point, he’s just struggling with the newness of it all here. I liked that paragraph too – don’t we all wish for something at some point? Why would Logan not know what he’s had and the way he’s lived is ‘different’ to most and after years of living it, with it, maybe the grass on occasion would look greener on the other side.rnrnAnd as for that English degree – bloody handy if you ask me. Those of us without one are damn grateful for yours and more for the fact that your willing to share it around! rn
I like this. You really managed to toe the line between deep introspection & Logan's characteristic unwillingness to seem that way. I enjoyed your take - how he has more questions than answers. It feels very true, if that makes sense.
"The clues are gettin’ older and as a result, colder." I always wondered about this, but never found anyone who's brought it up. Sure, assuming those programs are still operating like in X2, but I think the longer he lives the more cold trails he'd find. I also love how you worded it. :)
And isn't Moviemom the best beta? Her style makes something that could be very tedious & frustrating, actually pleasant and thought-provoking :D
Author's Response: No matter how ‘tough’ you appear on the outside, I think everyone has vulnerability of some sort and at some level on the inside. Logan is often portrayed as just a hard shell and although I don’t want to see him without all that makes him strong, why shouldn’t he want, need, even crave the things most take for granted? Why does that make you weak? Why would a hard life and extreme circumstances extinguish all dreams of anything different? etc. Even if the answers will never come why would that stop you asking the questions? rnAnd as for Wendie – extreme superstar!!rnThanks for taking the time to review xrn
