The Wolverine & Rogue Fanfiction Archive
Barely Legal Since 2000
I'll third that. Hey, write another on the end and resubmit it so that everyone can see the awesomeness that is your incredible storyweaving. It kind of blew my mind. I just read it yesterday and I am already wanting to reread it again. I never do that. Ever, Maybe with my most coveted favorites 5 years after I first read them. But still. Don't ever stop writing, please. You have a skill with words that most only ever imagine wielding.
~Mia
This is so damned beautiful. I have really grown attached to your brand of humour. Your Rogue may well be one of my favorite badasses of all times. I may be a little gay for her.
~Mia
Author's Response: Thank you muchly, m\'dear. I aim for badassery, and it\'s always extremely flattering to be told I\'ve hit my mark, especially in such a charming way as you\'ve been doing so far. And worry not; if I weren\'t a little gay for dear Rogue, I\'d not have written nearly so much story with her in it.
Holy hell! How do you manage all the awesome in your head? This is fantastc.
~Mia
Author's Response: Years of practice? Thank you muchly.
Your destruction is gorgeous to me. Bring it on as often as you feel inclined. You have a beautifully instinctual lilt to your writing that I find highly entertaining, intoxicating and amusing. I love your dry, jaded sense of humour. Thank you for sharing it.
~Mia
Author's Response: I\'m blushing. Thank you so much, and you\'re more than welcome. By the by, I\'ve not dabbled back in X-men fic in quite some time, but I\'ve not stopped writing. I\'ve just sort of located to a new fandom for a bit, given that it sort of commandeered my interest and shanghaied all my plot bunnies. I\'ve got more fic (slash-fic, I admit) at http://likeahurricane7.livejournal.com/
Damn. Um...guh...yeah. Thank you.
~Mia
Author's Response: Rendering people incoherent is another thing I do try to aim for. Thank you and you\'re welcome.
I apologise for the volumes of my squeeing, even if it is within the confines of my own head. It's just so much damned fun to read. Thank you.
~Mia
Author's Response: By all means, continue to squee; I find it most encouraging, than you. And you\'re more than welcome.
You gorgeous bit of awesome! I love how you twist everything around. As soon as I get the chance, (read: devour everything of yours on this site) I am going to check out your livejournal account. I am curious to see what has gripped your imagination and plot bunnies so well. I can understand that completely. I sometimes go weeks just needing Severus Snape/ Hermione Granger stories and nothing else. Other times it's Stephanie Plum stories or Bella/Edward awesome cliches. I should be a little embarrassed by the eclectic and predictable mix of stories I like most, but I like what I like. And right now, my one true love is right here. And she is awesome and gorgeous and as gay for badass Rogan things as I am. Thank you.
~Mia
Author's Response: \"You gorgeous bit of awesome! I love how you twist everything around.\"\r\n\r\nThat, right there, epitomizes what it is my goal to inspire in the brains of people reading what I\'ve written. Thank you muchly, as it\'s always good to hear when I\'ve achieved success.\r\n\r\nI do hope you\'ll enjoy the rest of my work. If you\'ve not read much slash before, I can only hope I\'ll corrupt you in much the same way as I was corrupted. I started out with no intent to write it, until I stumbled across a certain ship, with a certain pair of characters that, much like it was in the case of Rogue/Logan fic, caused me to stumble over it, do a double-take once I realized what I was looking at, and then think about it with a sense of intrugue and bemusement, after which I then got really really curious. I read first with morbid curiosity and a sense of snarky superiority, until I stumbled across the unexpected: truly good writing, and a fascinating play of character traits on either side of the relationship.\r\n\r\nHook. Line. Sinker. My plot-bunny-maker, formerly anchored here on this site, was thoroughly shanghaied.\r\n\r\nThus, I hope you like pirates, as I am apparently rather queer for them, too. Then again, my brain is androgynous and queer in a lot of ways by default, so perhaps this is not altogether surprising.
Whimper...sooooooooooooo, now I need more. A lot more. More than is actually reasonable to ask for. Like, enough to drown myself in for months at a time without surfacing. Thank you for the cherry. The clifffhanger has me biting my nails from curiosity about Rogue's influence in the speech. And that, for some odd reason, strikes me as funny. Thar Rogue, for all her antisocial behaviors and intense privacy to the point of not speaking all that much if given her druthers, has nitpicked what should be one of the most watched speaches in their nation. You make me smile. Thank you.
~Mia
Author's Response: I will most likely try to finish it... ~guilty look~ eeeeventually. Life and, admittedly, a little ship called Sparrington have long since dragged me away in their evil clutches. I still do like this story, and I remember how it ends, and how I was planning to get from this chapter, all the way to the ending, but I\'ve not since then been able to sink into it and sort of become one with the mindset of the story so that I might actually write it.\r\n\r\nI do love my super-snarky, antisocial hacker!Rogue, and her juxtaposition of traits so that she has great perspicacity when it comes to reading people and politics, but still tends toward the misanthropic. You\'re more than welcome.
Thank you for that visual. Can I have it as a screen saver please?
~Mia
You are a great writier. Very original and you have some of the best lines. I love your sense of humour and I love your Marie and her background. Your Logan is delicious. But you seriously need a beta. Want one? I'm up for it. My email address is: prissiepup@hotmail.com
Let me know.
~Mia
I would love to see more of this. Very well done.
~Mia
Author's Response: Thanks for the feed back. More should be on the way soon, so watch this space
I'm a sucky reviewer of the first order. But this was damned beautiful. A work of art, Babe. I devoured it in one day and neglected motherly duties and wifely householdy things to finish. I was late to pick up my daughter from school because I got caught up in the second part of things. Thank you for so completely transfixing and fascinating me.
~Mia
Author's Response: You\'re more than welcome, thanks for reading. :)
I liked this. Quite a lot, actually. Succinct yet graceful. Thank you.
I kinda hate her father a lot, though. Like, want to set him on fire, a lot.
~Mia
Author's Response: Wow. Thank you, I really appreciate that. And I hate the father too. ;)
I am putting you in my favorites and keeping you in a little box labeled: shiny happy things to be played with often. This is all kinds of awesomesauce. Your writing is so very entertaining that I easily became addicted to its laidback, light style. It is really nice to read a L/R fic that doesn't involve government, rape, runaways, starvation, bringing one or the other back from the dead, labs, or really really sickening amounts of feral sex. No...wait. I take back the last one. I just mean to say, that while I do enjoy stories like that. This one is a massive breath of fresh air.
~Mia
Very satisfyingly violent without making that the whole focus. Very original in the story of her leaving. I really enjoyed reading this. It was masterfully written. Thank you for sharing.
~Mia
Beautiful beautiful revenge. Thank you for the laughter. And thr streetrat's hand in Rogue's bra. And the hello kitty decal. The phased cars were a brilliant touch of evil genius.
~Mia
Author's Response: Thanks! I think Kitty\'s power is the one with most serious prank potential. And yeh, the image of Remy\'s hand in Rogue\'s bra...what more perfect way to drive Logan bat-shit crazy?! LOL!
I believe that your posted chapter 7 twice and no chapter 8. It makes a mildly confusing transition into chapter 9 here. Just thought I'd nosy my way over and tattle to you.
~Mia
Author's Response: Oh man, I did not even realize I\'d done that! Thanks so much for letting me know. I\'ve fixed it. Luckily it wasn\'t a completely vital chapter.
Oh that's beautiful. I do wish I knew what the job was that she was rushing off to do. Please, please post chapter 8 again so that I can know. This was truly enjoyable; spending the day in this universe. Thank you. It's hard to believe at times, the immense talent a teenager can have. Especially when it exceeds my own in this area. Thank you, again, for sharing it with us.
~Mia
Yes. Please DO remember what he said about the smut fic.
Lucky. When I'm sick all I hear is this annoying voice in my head complaining about what hurts, how much and how craptacular I feel.
~Mia
Most awesome vacation ever! Your stories remind me of ones my mom would make up for us as kids. Yes, they were much tamer, but she told us wild stories of pirates and journeys in the wild and how we had to use out wits and intelligence and not let fear take over. It made us feel strong and united as a family. Thank you for reminding me of that. This was beautifully executed.
~Mia
Holy hell, batman! She drugged her and threw her from a plane?!? I may just learn to love Mystique yet. Beautiful, beautiful.
~Mia
Author's Response: haha yeah Mystique sure does have an odd sense of humour about things
I really adore the way you twisted the multiverses together. Makes me ten kinds of happy.
~Mia
Author's Response: Thanks :)
Just beautiful. Okay, maybe parts of it were intensely creepy and gory, but I wouldn't be a Logan fan if I didn't go for that sort of thing. This was one of the most original things I've ever read, fanfiction or no. It was scary and subtle and violent and masterful and so damn well crafted that I want to weep for having come to the end. You have a wonderful imagination. I hope you always foster this talent and maybe harness it into writing something truly unique in the ocean of published literture.
~Mia
Author's Response: You are too kind and I deeply appreciate your words of encouragement. I wrote one more L/M fic after this one that was about the same size in length. It was an AU, with Logan and Marie in medieval times. It is because of that fic that I stopped writing fanfic for the most part, simply because it was so AU it became original. I still write, but it is all original now. I\'m not sure I could ever write fanfic again, but this universe, Logan and Marie, will always be my favorite.
So damned beautiful I want to keep it in a bottle on display. Thank you for the pretty.
~Mia
I love this story and how much there was in a chapter. It makes me want weird things. I want a Wolverine salad shooter. I want to cuddle and obscenely fondle this story. Want to take it home and call it fluffy and feed it alpo. It made me supremely happy and satisfied. Thank you.
