Okay, that's not much of a summary, so here's an excerpt to give you a feel:
She held out her hand, palm up, and for a second time seemed to stop. The man narrowed his gaze on her hand, and then again on her eyes. He took one shuffling step forward, and she concentrated on keeping her body loose, letting no tension show in her posture. The sudden /snick/ as the claws retracted startled her, but she managed not to jump. He watched her closely, reaching toward her hand. Suddenly he grabbed it, and for a second she thought he was going to bite her palm. But he just took a deep inhale, smelling her scent and then looking back at her eyes, assessing. She thought she saw a slight lessening of the tension in his posture after this strange ritual, but either way they were out of time.

And I have to disagree with a previous reviewer...I think you have maintained a fantastic pace with Logan and Marie's relationship development! Sometimes bonds are formed very quickly under extreme circumstances and shared experiences. Plus, readers love to get to the juicy stuff! Keep up the great work!

I hate that there are only a few chapters left but I hope that means we can look forward to new and exciting stories from you! I've loved this story and I hope you don't let any of the unneeded criticism ( yeah, You know who you are! ) get into your head. Out of over 100 reviews for this story, the same few people have mostly negative
comments...I say, if you've got the guts to write something and put it out there for other people to enjoy, then I can't criticize you even if the story isn't to my taste ( which this one definitely is! )! Keep up the great work! End of rant ; )
Author's Response: Aw, that\'s really sweet of you to say. I\'ll admit, the negative comments do affect me *way* more than they should, but only for a short time and then I\'m able to shake them off. And although I may not love the tone of them sometimes, when people who post a bad review tell you *what* they don\'t like it does give valuable insight into potential pitfalls for the story, and probably did on some level cause me to rethink a few chapters in a way that turned out better for the experience. Everyone on this site has been so incredibly receptive to my little baby steps into fanfic, I definitely don\'t expect all positive feedback. I actually just wrote the last scene -- a little bit of foof that might be surprising change of tone given the rest of the story, and I\'ve written the first scene after The Showdown, so now I just have to get from point A to point D. I don\'t know about other stories, but I had no idea I had the first three in me either, so I guess we\'ll see. Thanks again for all your kind words...I\'d weather 100 bad reviews to hear something like that!
